Artiste Biography
LAYYI is a zennial from sunny Singapore who has a soulful Ari-like tone of voice and makes a sweet combination of pop, r & b, and singer-songwriter tunes with her guitar. With a flare for speaking her truth through music, she emerged as a solo artist with “Hey Love”, has currently garnered 1.3 Million streams on Spotify, and has built up an audience of a whopping 113k monthly listeners. Her debut EP, ‘homebody’, was freshly released on 27th October 2023, has garnered more than 350k streams on Spotify in a week.
Coming in hot with her first release of the year, “I’ll Be Blue” accompanied by a music video shot in Melbourne, is out now on YouTube and all streaming platforms. A warm and comforting tune you want to add to your rainy-day playlists when life gets hard.
She wrote this for anyone who might be going through hard times in life as she has. It’s shown mildvirality on TikTok and has garnered over 260k streams on Spotify in 2 months thanks to her interesting social media campaign. Her following single “REGRETS” has also made it into one of Spotify’s biggest playlists, “It”s A Hit” and has currently close to a 100k streams in just a month.
LAYYI was also part of Spotify’s EQUAL campaign and was chosen to represent SG/MY in October 2023. Her banner was displayed in The Big Apple, Times Square along with 2 other female artists from around the world. She’s going to be performing at NTU Fest 2025 as well as hold a listening party when the EP drops on the 24th of Jan at KINN.
