Satay is a dish of skewered grilled meat served a sauce which can be found in various Southeast Asian countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei and Thailand. However it is believed to be originated in Java Island. Singapore Satay commonly consist of diced chicken, pork, beef, mutton and prawn served with peanut sauce, diced cucumbers, onions and ketupat.
